The Quarantine Comics Saga....

What is Quarantine Comics, and just what are we about?

Basically, Quarantine Comics is made up of six distinctively different and highly creative individuals who’s goal is to share our artwork through illustration, comic books, film, music and any other creative idea you can imagine.

It all started back in the early Summer of 2008 when Ray Coffman, Sean Lightsey and Rayburn A. Jordan Jr. got together and formulated a plan for getting their creations seen by the public.  Ray Coffman had spent years refining his Art and his music with both Classical and Eastern influences.  Sean Lightsey and Rayburn A. Jordan have worked since the early nineties in crafting their role playing game as well as the numerous and immense stories that accompany them.  Lightsey and Jordan are the like a two headed dragon, Lightsey is the Artist and Jordan is the Writer.  As all early plans do, it drug along at a slow pace and felt that it was missing some key components.  Months passed as a few others joined the group, first among them was Justin Stewart.  Justin’s vast knowledge of the comic book industry as well as his personality, experience in the industry and his knowledge of cutting edge art practices were a great boon to the efforts of the original three.  Shortly thereafter, an intrepid young artist/director/pizza guy named Billy Boyd came into the Quarantine Comics fold.  He brought fresh ideas and a fiery work ethic that helped breathe new life into the group.  And finally, the last component to the group was Nicholas Callihan, who Coffman and Lightsey befriended in college.  Nick is a bright up and coming artist who has great potential with unlimited creativity and a huge upside.  When all pieces were finally in place, Quarantine Comics was ready to launch!

We stand by the belief that Art and Creativity are the cornerstones of having fun and really enjoying life to the fullest.  Our goal is to get Lexington, KY and any other surrounding communities involved in helping build a large and diverse community of artists so that no creative idea goes unseen and that no story goes untold.  Summer 2009 marked the beginning of what we plan to do in the community and there is absolutely no ceiling for this ever-growing team.  We officially support ALL artistic endeavors in the community.  We thank everyone who has helped us get to where we are and invite everyone to take part in everything we do!

Welcome to Quarantine Comics!
